Quantum Cryptography in Cell Phones? No.
A recent article on The Verge says mistakenly equates quantum cryptography with quantum random number generation.
Cell phones do not have "quantum cryptography." It may be able to generate random numbers using quantum mechanics, but those random numbers are still being shared using classical methods to establish a shared secret key. They are not doing quantum key distribution, which actually would be considered quantum cryptography. The technology to implement quantum key distribution in cell phones does not currently exist.
